Nestled in the South Thompson River Valley at the confluence of Little Shuswap Lake is the Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre. The centre includes a 7500 square foot gymnasium, a fitness centre, 2 meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen and ample parking which is perfect for your next big event, game, or adult/youth drop in.
The Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre is situated on the Sahhaltkum Indian Reserve # 4 of the Adams Lake Indian Band Sahhaltkum is an anglicized version of the Secwepemc word, ‘sexqeltqin’ meaning ‘at top at head end’ which describes the location of the Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre where Little Shuswap Lake begins to drain into the South Thompson River.
The Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre is next to Chief Atahm School, one of the few immersion Schools in Canada. Nearby attractions surrounding the Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre include the Neskonlith meadows that are covered with wildflowers in the springtime, the Adams River sockeye salmon run which runs in September and October, and one of the most popular recreational destinations in British Columbia, the Shuswap Lakes.
